"Reed was the featured performer at our 20th wedding anniversary party. If you are a fan of his you are aware of his talent and the beauty of his songs. However, the striking aspect of his performance in this more intimate setting was how well he connected to the audience. This was especially notable in light of the fact that many there had never heard his music before. Yet after the very first song the crowd broke into a raucous round of spontaneous applause and hung on his every word for the remainder of the performance. Many noted how he set just the right tone for our celebration and as we look back on the event it is clearly the portion of that evening that we will remember long after other memories fade. We also have the added bonus of an expanded circle of friends to share our love of his music with and every time we listen to songs he performed that evening it brings back a rush of pleasant memories. While we used the "excuse" of this celebration to hold a private show I think his participation would be equally impactful for any gathering of friends."

They are Freetown instructing a group of post-conflict Sierra Leonean youth in film production, storytelling and social media - teaching them a means of expression to share their powerful stories with the world and to explore their common humanity.

Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars started playing music together in West African refugee camps while their homeland was being racked by years of bloody warfare. Since then, audiences around the world have embraced the band and their utterly extraordinary story. On their forthcoming album, Rise & Shine, the All Stars’ sound, as well as their biography, evolves further; the music finds them “establishing an identity based as much on skill, imagination and charisma as on their undeniably touching story” (The Los Angeles Times). Cumbancha will release the album on March 23, 2010.

A Boston native based in Colorado since 1989, Foehl’s solo work has caught the attention of new fans nationwide through commercial radio airplay and placements for television. Foehl’s sound has continued to develop on his latest effort, Once an Ocean reveals a natural, comfortable evolution of his artist spirit.
